KATHLENE GREENE

May 21, 1936 – September 11, 2024

ELKHART- Kathlene Greene, 88, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday September 11, 2024, at the residence of her daughter in Elkhart.  She was born May 21, 1936, in Jasper, Alabama to Erskin & Essie (Burgess) Tubbs.

     On April 29, 1955, in Elkhart, Indiana she married Wayne Greene.  He preceded her in death on April 24, 2006, in Elkhart, Indiana.  Surviving are 5 children, Diane M. (Brian) Raderstorf of Elkhart, Michael W. (Cortney) Greene of Bristol, Sheryl K. Noblitt of Elkhart, Bryan K. (Kathy) Greene of Bristol, Gregory C. Greene of Bristol; 21 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 4 siblings, Van (Pat) Tubbs of Granger, Tommie Lou Conde of Edwardsburg, Betty Gibb of Howe and Edna (Romayne) Slack of Bristol.  Kathie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wayne and 5 brothers.

     Kathie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was active in the Esther Circle and the Quilt Ministry at the church.  She enjoyed sewing, playing cards, being on the lake and spending time with her family.

     Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church or to RETA.  Envelopes for donations will be available at the church.  Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. till noon Saturday September 14, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 30888 C.R. 6, Elkhart, IN 46514.  The funeral service will start at noon Saturday at the church.  Pastor Mason Vieth will render the service, and he will be assisted by Ron Stallman, a dear friend of the family.  Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery.
