Justin Robert Walker

December 8, 1987 – March 3, 2025

Justin Robert Walker, 37 of Elkhart passed away Monday March 3, 2025, at his residence.  He was born in South Bend, Indiana on December 8, 1987, to Jennifer Stacey.

He is survived by his daughter Hadley Grace Walker, his mother Jennifer, his siblings, Kristopher (Sydney) Walker (35), Lyndsie (Chris) Collins (31), Marissa (Joseph) Walker (26), and Gavin Walker (22).  His nieces and nephews Morghan Walker, Dane Monica, Chancellor Walker, Alexander Collins, Buckley Monica, Fiadh Walker, and Raury Monica.  He is preceded in death by Diane “Mams” Walker, Stephen “Papaw” Walker.

  He served in the Marines for 5 years and was promoted all the way to Sgt.  His fellow marines referred to him as “Sgt. Awesome”.  After the Marines he became an over the road truck driver for TMC. After coming off the road he joined R&R Express and helped the local terminal streamline their operations as their Director of Administration.

  Everyone knew him for being full of wit, puns, and humor.  He was a jack of all trades.  Knowing or learning how to do any task handed to him.  He loved his cats, Arya and Ruby.  Enjoyed gaming and building Legos in his free time.  His true passion was being the best girl dad to his daughter Hadley.  Always looking forward to her yearly daddy-daughter dances and watching her earn metals in gymnastics but really supporting any and all of her interests and passions. 

He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.   

Services for Justin will be on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with visitation for family and friends starting at 11:00 a.m. at the Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, 700 East Jackson Blvd, Elkhart, Indiana.  Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery with Military Honors.
