JUDITH ANN STRUKEL

March 1, 1943 – February 15, 2023

ELKHART- Judith Ann Strukel, 79, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday February 15, 2023, at Elkhart General Hospital.  She was born March 1, 1943, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Robert L. & Edith J. (Playfoot) White.

     She married Bill C. Nicely, Sr., on April 27, 1963.  He preceded her in death on March 27, 2004.  She then married Steven J. Woodworth on October 7, 2006.  He preceded her in death on October 11, 2006.  Then she married Albert L. Strukel, Sr., on August 21, 2010, and he preceded her in death on December 13, 2017.  She is survived by her son Bill Nicely, Jr., (Jacob Nicely, Amie Chavarria, Lisa Doty); Amy Nicely Stanifer (Trenton Nicely, Courtney Williams (Nicely), Owen Nicely; Adam & Cheryl Rassi (Scott Nicely, Matthew Nicely, Jess Herr (Rassi), Ariell Rassi and 18 great-grandchildren.  Judith was preceded in death by her parents, her 2 sons, Terry & Scott Nicely, her husband Bill Nicely, Sr., her husband Steve Woodworth, who has 3 children surviving, her husband Albert Strukel who has 2 children surviving and numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. 

     Judith worked as an executive assistant in the RV industry in Elkhart for many years.  She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Elkhart and a member of the Elkhart Area Marine Corps League Honor Guard.  She enjoyed bowling, traveling and crocheting.

     Visitation for family and friends will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Monday February 20, 2023, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home and from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.  Her funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday February 21, 2023, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  Pastor Paul Anderson from Calvary United Methodist Church will render the service and burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery.

     Memorial contributions may be given to the Elkhart County Humane Society or to Calvary United Methodist Church.
