ELKHART-Joyce G. Myrick Tubbs, 88, passed away June 10, 2020 at her home in Elkhart.  She was born September 14, 1931 in Elkhart to Howard & Clara (Ritchie) Westlake.

  In 1949 she married Lindell Myrick; he preceded her in death in 1990.  She was also preceded by her parents, 3 children, Terry Myrick, Howard “Doody” Myrick, Deborah Knopps, 7 siblings, Harvey Westlake, Juanita Myrick, Howard “Buck” Westlake, William Westlake, Joy Mapes, Thomas Westlake and David (Sharon) Westlake. 

  In 1994 she married Perry Tubbs; he survives along with 1 daughter, Katie Myrick, 5 grandchildren, Terry (Tracy) Myrick. Mark (Nila) Myrick, Lindell “Troy” (Jodi) Myrick, Stacy (Danny Craig) Clark and Ada (Darnell) Knopps.  Also surviving are 15 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, 2 siblings, Sue (Hal) Locke and John (Betty) Westlake

  Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the 1 p.m. service Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery. 

  Joyce was a member of New Life Christian Center.  Most dear to her heart was her family and she enjoyed spending time with them.

  Memorial contributions may be given to the Center for Hospice Care.
