ELKHART-Joyce A. Bellows, 96, passed away peacefully June 7, 2024, at Harmony of Elkhart.  She was born December 21, 1927, in Muskegon, MI.

  On March 6, 1949, she married Edgar “Jack” Bellows; he preceded her in death in 2013.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, Harley & Mertie (Haight) Wing, a daughter, Susan Rhodes in 2009, and a brother, Loren Wing.

  Surviving are 2 children, Nina (Eldon) Hershberger, Edward (Marilyn) Bellows, 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Gladys Hurt-Self of Indian Lake, MI.

  Joyce graduated from Muskegon High School in 1946 and was a member of several churches throughout her life including; Bethany Missionary Church, Bristol Missionary Church, and Elkhart Reformed Presbyterian Church.  She worked 15 years at Dr. Mininger-Cormican-Graber and 23 years for the Elkhart Community School System as a Bus Driver.  Joyce was also a member of the Elkhart County Genealogical Society. 

   A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Elkhart Reformed Presbyterian Church

  Burial will be held privately at Prairie Street Cemetery.

  Memorial contributions may be given to Elkhart Reformed Presbyterian Church.
