JOSE LOPEZ OROZCO

October 10, 1974 – January 15, 2023

ELKHART- Jose Lopez Orozco, 48, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday January 15, 2023, in Elkhart.  He was born October 10, 1974, in Curimeo Michoacan, Mexico to Baltazar Lopez Tapia and Elisa Orozco Soto.

     He married Maria Rodriguez in 1997.  She survives along with 4 sons, Jose, Victor, Michael, and Brian Lopez all of Elkhart; a daughter, Jacqueline Lopez of Elkhart; 9 sisters, Nelida, Guadalupe, Francisca, Lusmaria, Gloria, Araceli, Magali, Maria, Mayra Lopez all of Elkhart; 1 brother, Feliciano Lopez of Elkhart.  Also surviving are 5 brothers and sisters, in Mexico.  He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother Juan Lopez. 

     Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. on Thursday January 19, 2023, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday January 20, 2023, at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church.  Friends may also visit with the family for 1 hour prior to the start of the service at the church.  Fr. Eloy Jimenez will preside, and burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery.

     Jose was the owner of J. L. All Season Tree Service, and he was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church. Waterman-Westbrook-Clouse Funeral Home is entrusted with his care.  Memorial contributions may be given to the family.
