ELKHART-John A. “Wolfie”Johnson, 61, passed away August 22, 2022, at his home in Elkhart.  He was born June 20, 1961, in Toledo, Oh to Brooks & Lillian (McClure) Johnson.  
  He was preceded in death by his parents, the love of his life and companion of over 22 years, Susan Grooms, 4 siblings. Elaine Arent, Cindy Johnson, 2 twin brothers and his stepfather, R. Lewis Wright.
  Surviving are 9 siblings, Joan (Butch) Maki, Patricia (Andy) Poole, Margaret (Steve) Stall, Wayne (Sandy) Johnson, Margie (Bruce) Packingham, Martha (Allen) Raulerson, Kenneth Johnson, Tina (Bill) Richardson, and Charles Johnson.  Also surviving are 3 stepchildren, April (Ricky) Guzman, Robert (Emily) Grooms, Mitchell (Sarah) Grooms, 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and tons of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, a handful of great-great-nieces and nephews and his fur baby friends.
  John enjoyed fishing, playing bingo, singing karaoke and was the ULTIMATE ELVIS FAN.  
  Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the 11 a.m. service Monday, August 29, 2022, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.
  Inurnment will be held at a later date in Rice Cemetery.
  Due to his love for fur babies the family asks that donations be given to the Elkhart County Humane Society.
