Jerry Steven Luke

ELKHART- Jerry Steven Luke, 74, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday November 13, 2022, at his residence in Elkhart.  He was born September 17, 1948, in Mishawaka, Indiana to Daniel & Louise (Johnson) Luke.

     Surviving is his companion Julie Clark of Elkhart; his 4 children, Matthew Luke of Washington State, Daniel (Barbara) Luke of TN, Jenny Luke Wall of South Carolina, Suftta (Wayne) Ingleton of Colorado; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are 3 sisters, Betty (Ralph) Jones of LaPorte, IN, Dorothy Luke of Michigan City, IN, Dianna (Coleman) Taylor of Elkhart and several nieces and nephews. 

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Danny Luke, and Chester Luke and his furry friend “Pound Puppy”.

     Jerry was a Vietnam Veteran serving from 1967 – 1970.  He graduated from Mishawaka High School and worked for Conrail in the Track Department.

     Visitation for family and friends will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday November 17, 2022, and from Noon till the time of the service on Friday November 18, 2022, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Neal Davis will preside and burial with full military honors will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery.
