ELKHART-Jeanine M. Kennedy, 82, passed away August 23, 2022, at Creekside Village.  She was born May 3, 1940, in Goshen to Max & L. Maxine (Cripe) Alheim.

  On December 23, 1972, she married L. Fred Kennedy; he preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Greg Donovan.

  Surviving are 2 children, Mark (Cheryl) Donovan, Kathleen Genovese, daughter-in-law, Kathy Donovan, 8 grandchildren, Rachel, Amy, Beau, Jessica, Tara, Cody, Sean and Maureen.  Also surviving are 11 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and 1 brother, John (Kathy) Alheim.

  Jeanine worked at Whitehall Laboratories for 25 years, was a member of the Goshen Moose Lodge #836, Woman of the Moose #1047, and Elkhart D.A.V. # 15.  She enjoyed watching MASH every day, gardening, chatting on the phone, and most of all making memories with her family and beloved grandchildren.

  A celebration of life gathering will be held Friday, September 9, 2022, from 5-7 p.m. at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.

  Since she was an animal lover, memorial contributions may be given to the Elkhart County Humane Society or the American Lung Association.
