JEANETTE JAN TERRY

November 22, 1934 – February 18, 2023

   ELKHART- Jeanette Jan Terry, 88, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday February 18, 2023, at Woodland Manor in Elkhart.  She was born November 22, 1934, in Elkhart, Indiana to William & Ethyl Alexander.

     She married Don Rassi who preceded her in death.  She then married William G. Reed, Sr. who survives.  Also surviving are 2 sons, Michael W. (Donna) Rassi, William G. (Jill N.) Terry, Jr., both of Elkhart; a foster son Marvin Kleitz and a foster daughter, Barbara Davis of Punta Gorda, FL.  Also surviving are 6 grandchildren,2 great-grandchildren, her sister Ruth Turner of Elkhart and her long time friend, Margaret C. Nopper of Elkhart.  She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, Lloyd, Wilbur, Clarence, Robert and Jacob Lee Alexander, and a sister, Laura Bradford.

     Jan graduated in 1952 from Concord High School.  She was a member of the Sugar Grove Church in Goshen and she enjoyed doing word search, playing cards and she dearly loved the mission field.  She retired from Meijer in Goshen where she worked in the Deli for many years.

     Cremation will take place and a private family burial will take place at Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart.  A celebration of life service for Jan will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday March 4, 2023, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  Pastor Stephen Swihart will render the service.  Friends may visit with the family for 1 hour prior to the start of the service.
