JANNIE RUTH HUFFMAN

March 4, 1934 – August 16, 2020

BRISTOL- Jannie Ruth Huffman, 86, of Bristol, passed away Sunday August 16, 2020 at the home of her daughter in White Pigeon, MI.  She was born March 4, 1934 in Floyd County, Kentucky to Greenberry & Alice (Thornsbury) Johnson.

     On September 5, 1953 in Prestonburg, Kentucky she married Buddy Huffman, Sr.  he preceded her in death on December 17, 1994 in Elkhart, Indiana.

Surviving are 3 children, Buddy (Lori) Huffman, Jr. of Elkhart, William S. (Ramona) Huffman of Vandalia, MI, Loretta C. (Andy) Pionke of White Pigeon, MI; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Also surviving are 2 sisters, Barbara (Ray) Caudill of Elkhart, Carol Sue (Jimmy) Tucker of Otisville, MI, 3 brothers, Grover (Paula) Johnson of Walkerton, IN, Sylvester (Shirley) Johnson of Williamsville, MI, Virgil (Stacia) Johnson of Middlebury, IN and a host of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter, Teresa L. Rose, 4 brothers and 1 sister.

     Jannie was formerly employed as a painter at B & J Wood Company in Elkhart and she enjoyed sewing in her spare time.

      Funeral services for Jannie will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday August 20, 2020 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  Ray Caudill will preside and burial will follow in Rice Cemetery.  Friends may visit with the family for 2 hours prior to the service.

     Memorial contributions may be given to the family.
