JANIS “DIANE” GOSS

January 20, 1929 – November 15, 2023

ELKHART- Janis “Diane” Goss, 94, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday November 15, 2023, at the Raclin House Center for Hospice in Mishawaka.  She was born January 20, 1929, in Elkhart, Indiana to Henry & Opal (Busenburg) Kunce.

     On January 17, 1992, she married Garold L. Goss.  He preceded her in death on November 24, 2019.  Also preceding her in death were her parents, a son, Steven Gerschoffer, a daughter, Niki Gerschoffer Stratigos.  She is survived by a son-in-law Spridon “Strats” Stratigos; a daughter-in-law, Melonie Gerschoffer; 5 stepchildren, Dawn (Jerry) Goss, Denise (Barry) Hurlbut, Todd (Mariejan) Goss, Timothy (Sue) Goss, Troy (Jennifer) Goss; grandchildren, Rachael Gerschoffer (Chris) Huffman, Amber Gerschoffer, Ryan Gerschoffer, Nick Stratigos George (Erin) Stratigos; 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

     Diane was a longtime member and organist at the McCoy Memorial Baptist Church in Elkhart.  She enjoyed traveling the United States, Canada, and Europe with her husband.

     Diane retired from CTS Corporation after 42 years of service.  She was loved by all her family and will be dearly missed.

     Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Saturday November 18, 2023, At Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Service will start at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pastor Ray LaBorde from McCoy Memorial Church will render the service and burial will follow in Rice Cemetery.

     Memorial contributions may be given to McCoy Memorial Baptist Church.  Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home is entrusted with her care.
