Janet M. King

EDWARDSBURG-Janet M. King, 70, passed away November 22, 2022, at her home in Edwardsburg.  She was born November 15, 1952, in Elkhart to Cecil & Wanda (Sitton) Marchant.

  On July 2, 1993, in Lagrange she married Karl King; he survives along with 4 children, Amy (Mike) Higley, Chad (Kerry) King, Derek Corrighan, and Steve Riley.  Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, Amanda (Tyler) Schmitt, Michael Higley, Austin King, Kaylor King, Alix Riley, Michael Riley, 4 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Roy (Jackie) Marchant.

  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Wade Marchant. 

  Janet enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting and was also a published author of the book “We Didn’t See This Coming”.  She truly had a love for Christ and was a wonderful person and a joy to be around. 

  Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the 12-Noon celebration of Life service Friday, December 2, 2022, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  Presiding will be Pastor Mike Smith.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
