James P. “Jim” “Moon” Cranmer

June 9, 1955 – January 9, 2021

ELKHART- James P. “Jim” “Moon” Cranmer, 65, of Elkhart, died Saturday January 9, 2021 at his residence. He was born June 9, 1955 in Elkhart to Darwin “Moon” and Martha (Riggle) Cranmer.

On March 22, 1980 in Elkhart, he married Jacqueline Janet Cogswell. She survives along with 2 children, Jamie C. (Jeremy) Barts of Greenwood, IN and Joshua J. (Jeannee Erker) Cranmer of Denver, CO; 7 grandchildren, Tyler, Adrienne, Alexus, Corinna, Miranda, Chloe and Jeremiah; his mother, Martha Cranmer of Elkhart and his furry friend his dog “Maui.” He was preceded in death by his father, Darwin “Moon” Cranmer.

Jim graduated in 1974 from Elkhart High School and he enjoyed boating, fishing, watching sunsets and a good craft beer. He also was a true DIY home renovator. Jim retired as a sales representative on the supply side of the RV industry.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life gathering will be held at the Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home on Friday January 22, 2021 from 3-6 p.m. Face masks are required for entry into the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American heart Association.
