James C. Filocco

April 21, 1950-September 20, 2024

ELKHART-James C. Filocco, 74, passed away September 20, 2024, at the Center for Hospice Care in Elkhart.  He was born April 21, 1950, in Elkhart.

  Surviving is his companion of 27 years, Gloria Smith, a sister, Charlene Filocco, numerous nieces, nephew, and other family members. 

  He was preceded in death by father, Charles Filocco and his mother, Betty Grogan.

  James was a proud U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War, and a mail carrier for the U.S. Post office for over 35 years until his retirement in 2005.  He was member of the V.F.W. and the D.A.V., an avid Notre Dame and Chicago Cubs fan.  James enjoyed traveling to Saratoga and spending time at the casino.

  Per his wishes cremation will take place and there will be no services.

  Memorial contributions may be given to a local D.A.V.

  Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
