Jacquelyn D. Freed

December 23, 1937-February 4, 2025

ELKHART-Jacquelyn D. Freed, 87, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025, at her home in Elkhart.  She was born December 23, 1937, in Glen Lyon, PA.

  She was preceded by her father, John Keller, mother, Matilda “Tillie” (Wada) Kwiatkowski, 2 siblings, Ronald Keller, and Yvonne Keller.

  Surviving is her son, Henry Spilko, brother, Robert (Mary Joe) Keller, 2 nieces, Kristen (Bob) Holtz, Dana (Matthew) Thomas, one nephew Rob (Jennifer) Keller, 8 great-nieces and nephews, Kamryn Holtz, Jordan Holtz, Ryan Thomas, Abigail Thomas, Samantha Keller, Sage Keller, Caroline Keller, and Madelyn Keller.

  Jacquelyn graduated from Chadsey High School in Detroit, MI, and was a member of Crossroads Community Church.  She was formally employed at Higgens Delta, Wells Cargo, and for 38 years at Polytron Corporation. 

  Jacquelyn led a quiet life. She loved time with her son and lifetime friend Patricia Soncarty.  She enjoyed word search puzzles, time on the deck enjoying the pond and wildlife, and giving thanks to Jesus.

  Memorial contributions may be given to the Faith Mission or to Here Kitty Kitty Rescue.

  Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the 1:00 p.m. service Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, 700 East Jackson Blvd, Elkhart, Indiana.  Burial will follow in Rice Cemetery.  Officiating will be Chaplain Edie Palmer Hamilton from The Christian Resource Group.  Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home has been entrusted with her care.
