IRMA L. BRANDENBURG

December 14, 1928 – February 14, 2021

ELKHART- Irma L. Brandenburg, 92, of Elkhart, died Sunday February 14, 2021 at her residence. She was born December 14, 1928 in Wakarusa, Indiana to Warren and Ida (Loucks) Fredericks.

In 1949 she married Charles Brandenburg and he preceded her in death in 2006. Surviving are 2 daughters, Pam (Ben) Mausar, Susan Krauter both of Elkhart; 6 grandchildren J.R. Mausar, Kim Yaney, Michelle Rodger, C.J. Krauter, Adam Krauter and Tommy Krauter. Additional survivors include 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; 2 sisters Marlene Reilly of Mishawaka, Julie (Rex) Horein of Wakarusa and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, and a brother Leon Fredericks.

Irma worked at Adams & Westlake and Putnam Imports in Elkhart and was a long-time member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.

A private family graveside service for Irma will be held on Wednesday February 17, 2021 at Rice Cemetery. Chaplain Neil Davis with the Center for Hospice care will preside.

Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home is entrusted with her care. Memorial contributions may be given to the Center for Hospice Care.
