ELKHART-Irene Robbins, 76 passed away May 8, 2022, at her home in Elkhart.  She was born January 22, 1946, in Pocatello, Idaho to Earl & Ellen (Owens) Hamilton.  

  In 1972 she married LaVern “Joe” Burkett; he preceded her in death.  On August 26, 2000, she married Rodney W. Robbins; he preceded her in death on July 20, 2019.  She was also preceded by her parents, a daughter, Anna Henderson-Lane, 2 brothers, Clennon Hamilton and Everett Hamilton. 

  Surviving are 3 sons, Clarence “Sonny” (Tammy) Henderson, Roger Henderson, Jeff Henderson, 8 grandchildren, Michael, Caitlin (Antonio), Crystal, Christy, Destiny, Bailey, Shyann, Megan, 8 great-grandchildren, Serenity, Savannah, Shaniyah, Ashton, Alexea, Rue, Rozylynn and Cory.  Also surviving are 6 siblings, Amy Hamilton, Geraldine (Willis) Whitmyer, Lorene (Michael) England, Joan (Robert) Patterson, Herschel (Stacey) Hamilton, Linda (Bryant) Everest, her mother-in-law, Audrey Robbins, 2 stepsons, Tracy Robbins, Toby Robbins and many other family members. 

  Irene enjoyed camping and watching soap operas and Lifetime movies.

Above all else spending time with her family and grandchildren were truly what she lived for. 

  Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. Sunday, May 15, 2022, with the service beginning at 11 a.m. at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be held on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Burlington Cemetery in Calhoun County, MI.
