Irene Edith Adams

December 24, 1934 - May 16, 2024

Irene Edith Adams, 89, of Elkhart, passed away at her home on May 16, 2024.  She was born in Lowestoft Suffolk, England on December 24, 1934, to Henry and Jessie (Tuttle) Woolf. 

Surviving are her children Robert (Deb) Adams, of Lebanon, IN; Jerry L. Adams of Elkhart, IN;

Jeff (Cindy) Adams, of Goshen, IN; Michael (Shannon) Adams of Elkhart, IN; and Melissa (Kenneth) Hammond of South Bend, IN.   She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Robert M. Adams. 

  Irene met the love of her life, Robert M. Adams, when she met him in England serving in the Air Force.  They were married in 1954 and were together for 67 years before he passed. 

  Irene was an owner/operator of a dog grooming business.  She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Visitation for family and friends will be Friday May 24, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Service at 1:00 p.m. at the Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, 700 East Jackson Blvd., Elkhart, IN.  Pastor Bob Vale will render the service and burial will follow at Rice Cemetery.
