IAN M. VANTINE

August 28, 2012 – October 11, 2021

ELKHART- Ian M. Vantine, 9, of Elkhart, died Monday October 11, 2021, at the Center for Hospice Care in Mishawaka.  He was born August 28, 2012, in Elkhart, Indiana to Timothy D. Vantine  and Jennifer K. Ivers.

     He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Jennifer K., and Dustin Thomas of Elkhart; his father Timothy D. Vantine of Michigan; 5 siblings, Javonte Hensley, Elijah Ivers, Issabella Thomas, Infinity Thomas, Arielle Thomas all of Elkhart; his grandparents Linda Tolley and James Doering of Elkhart, Ronnie and Shirley Thomas of Bremen, Mitch and Lori Vantine of Elkhart.  He was preceded in death by a stepbrother, Konnor Thomas.

     Ian enjoyed sharing French fries with his grandpa Doering, going to The Therapy Place to receive therapy and see his friend Zephan and making funny faces and sticking his tongue out at family members before going to bed.  He also enjoyed sitting on the steps of the house with his grandma Linda.

     Visitation for family and friends will be from 3-6 p.m. Wednesday October 13, 2021, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  Funeral services for Ian will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Rice Cemetery.

     Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help defray expenses.
