Harold Wesley Jewell Jr, 65, of Elkhart, Indiana and formerly of Coloma, Michigan passed away peacefully Wednesday November 19, 2025 at Elkhart General Hospital surrounded by family.
He was born July 15,1960 in Berrien County, Michigan to Harold Wesley Jewell Sr. and Mary Jane Jewell (Hays)
He is survived by his devoted, loving wife Kathleen Jewell. His two Daughters Ami Jewell, Natalie(Michael Lopez-Hernandez) and Son Anthony Jewell. God Daughter Holly White. His Grandchildren Sariah Erwin, Trae’ziah Erwin, Jamiyah Jewell, Michael Lopez-Hernandez, Jason(Mireya)Hernandez, Isabella Lopez-Hernandez, Perlita Lopez-Hernandez, Aviana Lopez-Hernandez, Everleigh Lopez-Hernandez. Great Grandchildren Aria Hernandez and Jesus Hernandez. God Grandchildren Aaliyah White and Amari White. His 3 siblings Ronnie Jewell of Coloma, Michigan Tina(Jerry Hopkins) of Eau Claire, Michigan Roxanna(Lenny Callahan) of Sister Lakes. His three aunts Bonnie Craft, Donna Hays, and Opal Jewell of Coloma, Michigan. Several Cousins, nieces/nephews, great nieces/nephews, and friends.
He was proceeded in death by both his parents, grandparents, sister Teresa Mcdermott, and his nephew Wesley Jewell. Harold went to Coloma High School and later obtained his GED. He also took certified small engine repair and welding programs, at Ivy Tech Community College of South Bend, Indiana.
Harold was employed by Mast Construction, Cequent Towing products and later owned and operated his own business Kj’s Lawn and Landscaping.
Harold was a loving dedicated husband, father, grandfather (papa), God father, nephew, brother, uncle and provider. To define him as hardworking would be an understatement, he was always busy doing something with his hands farming, carpentry, small engine repair, welding and Lawn and Landscaping. Harold was a true Jack-of-all-trades. He was always on the move, with a Diet Coke in his hand leaving little time for rest. During the moments that he wasn’t working, Harold enjoyed being surrounded by the ones he loved, doing the things he loved most which included, watching Chicago Bears football, playing with the grandchildren, playing softball, family trips to Cedar Point, hunting, golfing, tennis, bowling, sitting around the bon fire, enjoying an ice cold Budweiser, playing cards, having cookouts, swimming, family gatherings and anything outdoors.
Cremation will take place at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home Crematory (Elkhart, Indiana). A Celebration of life will be held at a later date followed by the Burial at North Shore Memory Gardens 5027 M-63, Coloma, MI 49038 (In The Garden Of Peace).
