GWENDOLYN E. LENOIR July 7, 1936 - March 30, 2018 ELKHART- Gwendolyn E. Lenoir, 81, of Elkhart, went home to be with the Lord on Friday March 30, 2018. She was born July 7, 1936 in Aliquippa, PA to the late Jay V. & Urella Mae (Lee) Frazier. Left behind to cherish her memory are 6 children, Rose Marie Lenoir of South Bend, Diane Gilbert of Chicago, Cathy Elaine Lenoir of Indianapolis, Tommy C. Lenoir of Chicago, Jay V. (Elaine) Lenoir of Goshen, Erika Lenoir of Indianapolis; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 2 great, great grandchildren. Also surviving is sister, Loretta Hinton of Perth Amboy, NJ; an aunt, Susie Frazier of Chicago and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 4 children, Edward Leon Frazier, James Charles Lenoir, Beverly Darlene Lenoir, Janet Lynn Lenoir; and 2 brothers, Lonnie Minor and William Frazier. Gwendolyn was formerly employed as a cook. She enjoyed cooking, listening to country music, watching TV, especially westerns, cooking shows and home improvement shows. Funeral services for Gwendolyn will be held at Noon on Saturday April 7, 2018 at the Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Pastor Graylin Watson from Jesus Is Emmanuel Church in South Bend will preside and burial will follow at Rice Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00am until noon.
