Geraldine May Schlabach

November 23, 1928-March 19, 2022

LYNDHURST, VA-Geraldine May Schlabach, 93, formally of Elkhart passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022, at the home of her son. She was born November 23, 1928, in Elkhart, Indiana to Dewey & Myrtle (Steele) Maggert.

On May 15, 1948, she married John Schlabach Sr.; he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Joan Newman, 2 grandsons, Kenneth Schlabach, Scott Schlabach, son-in-law, John LeVan, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Surviving are 2 children, John (Ruth) Schlabach Jr., Judy LeVan, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a sister, Jean Tilford.

Geraldine enjoyed knitting, crocheting watching soap operas and was an avid dog lover.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Rice Cemetery.

Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
