GERALD EDWIN YODER

December 13, 1931 – February 10, 2025

ELKHART- Gerald Edwin Yoder, 93, of Elkhart, passed away Monday February 10, 2025, at The Waters of Wakarusa.  He was born December 13, 1931, in Topeka, Indiana to Menno M. & Agnes E. (Baker) Yoder.

     On February 2, 1952, in Mentone, Indiana he married Maxine H. Haimbaugh.  She survives along with 1 son, Gary M. (Michelle) Yoder of Elkhart and 3 step-grandchildren, Brianne Schultz of Elkhart, IN, Katie Ridenour of Ohio and Matthew Ridenour of Florida.

     Gerald was a US Army Veteran serving in Korea and received an honorable discharge.  He was a member of the Grace Bible Church in Elkhart, a member of Kane Masonic Lodge in Elkhart and he enjoyed gardening.  Gerald retired from I & M Electric Company in 1992 where he worked as a senior distribution clerk and a dispatcher.

     Visitation for family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday February 18, 2025, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  Funeral services will start at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home and Rev. Kyle Grant from the Grace Bible Church will render the service.  The service will conclude with the rendering of Military Honors at the funeral home.

Burial will be private at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Rochester, Indiana.

     Memorial contributions may be given to the Grace Bible Church or to any hospice.
