EULIS RAY RORIE

April 22, 1929 – July 6, 2025

SOUTH BEND, IN- Eulis Ray Rorie, 96, of South Bend, passed away peacefully on Sunday July 6, 2025, at Grand Emerald Place in South Bend.  He was born April 22, 1929, in Onia, Arkansas to Doss & Evoline (Martin) Rorie.

     On October 8, 1949, in South Bend, IN he married Betty Inetha McCaskill.  She preceded him in death on January 24, 2017, in South Bend, IN.  Surviving are 4 sons, Bill (Linda) Rorie of Sebring, FL, Jack (Karen) Rorie of Osceola, IN, Rob (Sherri) Rorie of Clearwater, FL, John (Nancy) Brosius of West Virginia; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty, 2 children, Rita Diane Rorie, Danny Ray Rorie, 1 granddaughter, Karrissa Joy Rorie, 5 brothers, Tinnie, Hassell, Onis, Dalton, Lyle D. Rorie and 2 sisters, Euda May Rorie and Beulah Adams.

     Eulis retired from Ball Ban/Uniroyal in Mishawaka.  He was a member of the Sanctuary of Osceola, and he dearly loved the Lord.  Eulis enjoyed spending time with his family, playing his guitar and singing, gardening and riding his bike.

     Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday July 10, 2025, at the Omega Event Center, 2130 Middlebury Street, Elkhart, IN.

Additional visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Friday July 11, 2025, also at the Omega Event Center where his going home service will start at 11:00 a.m. Friday.  Burial will follow the service at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.  Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home is entrusted with his care.
