Ethel "Katherine" Thalheimer

Ethel "Katherine" Thalheimer January 21, 1924-December 24, 2019 ELKHART-Ethel "Katherine" Thalheimer, 95, passed away December 24, 2019. She was born January 21, 1924 in Elkhart to John & Myrtle (Martin) Garman. On September 13, 1941 in Elkhart she married Phil Thalheimer; he preceded her in death on April 4, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, Robert Thalheimer, 3 brothers, George Garman, David Garman and Jack Garman. Surviving are 2 granddaughters, Kristen Thalheimer, Lori (Randy) Slauf, 2 great granddaughters, Alyssa (Alex) Halvorson, Kelsey Peterson, 2 great great grandchildren, Keira and A.J., 1 brother, Vernon (Jean) Garman and numerous nieces and nephews. Katherine worked at CTS Corporation for over 41 years and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. When she was younger, she did powder puff short track racing and more recently enjoyed playing bingo, cards and spending time with her family. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service Friday, January 3, 2020 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Father Jason Freiburger from St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church will preside and burial will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery.
