Earnest C. "Fats" Kyle, Sr. Obituary

Earnest “Fats” C. Kyle, Sr., 79, passed away peacefully December 23, 2022, at his home.  He was born April 14, 1943, in Marion, Arkansas to Anderson & Etter (Gamble) Kyle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, David Kyle, 3 siblings, Bay, June, Adell, and a great-grandchild, “Journey”.

Surviving are 6 children, Diane Sharp, Phyllis Hilliard, Ricky Hutch, Melvina (Dominic) Hilliard Snow, Earnest Kyle, Jr., Monique (Anthony) Harris, 7 siblings, “Sista”, “Jean”, “Bay Bruh”, “Bennie” (Elsie), “Buddy”, “Dimp”, and “Dave” (Sylvia).  Also surviving are a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends that he had for so many years.

Fats threw some of the best memorial, Super Bowl, and 4th of July parties.  The whole city was invited.  He loved giving and hosting so others could have a good time eating and drinking.  He cherished his Saturday morning dates with the “special lady” in his life, daddy’s girl Monique.   Fats was baptized and gave his life to Christ.  He was a member of Holy Temple Church of God.

There were 5 special men that he loved and always mentioned that the family would like to acknowledge.  “Fort Wayne”, was more like a brother.  He loved this man, and the stories hat he shared about him were hilarious.  “Mr. Hopman” (Hopman’s Jewelry), Thank you for how you loved our daddy, for allowing him to work off a debt that blessed his life for so many years, thank you to you and your wife, Eileen for having patience by not allowing anything to get in the way when he had his moments, for all you’ve done.  We have so much love and respect for The Hopman Family.  “Skeet” Sherman Fuller was his best and dearest friend for over 70 years.  When they were young, everyone called them “Salt and Pepper”.  “Skeet”, daddy truly loved you; thank you for always being there for him.  We love you and are very grateful you’ve been a part of our lives too.  Anthony Harris (was his hero), he thought Anthony could fix anything he couldn’t.  He depended on him a lot, especially for wax and armor all for his cars.  Anthony is also a person who saved his life several years back when he injured himself losing several fingers; God sent him over before he bled to death.  Thank you, daddy truly loved you.  Earnest Kyle Jr., Thank you for taking good care of Daddy to the very end, preventing him from being put in a nursing home, (something he never wanted to experience).  Well done Big E!

Dad’s Quote, “A little information goes a long way if your paying attention”.

Per his wishes cremation will take place and a celebration of life service will be held April 14, 2023.
