ELKHART- Dorothy J. McFarren, 94, of Elkhart, died Wednesday May 18, 2022, at Greenleaf Health Campus. She was born October 29, 1927, in Elkhart, Indiana to Mearl D. & Dorothy V. (Bowers) Maxson.

On January 17, 1947, she married Manning E. McFarren. He preceded her in death on March 29, 2009. Surviving are 3 children, Keith (Karen) McFarren of Elkhart, IN, Kevin McFarren of Traverse City, MI, Cathy McFarren of Osceola, IN; 5 grandchildren;7 great-grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Manning.

She will be buried next to her husband Manning in Rice Cemetery on Monday May 23, 2022. Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home is entrusted with her care.
