DONALD RAY WAGNER, SR.

June 18, 1945 – January 3, 2022

ELKHART- Donald Ray Wagner, Sr., 76, of Elkhart, passed away at his residence in Elkhart.  He was born June 18, 1945, in Elkhart, Indiana to Ralph and Alvena Wagner.

     Left to cherish his memory is his son, Donald R. (Sheila) Wagner, Jr., of Middlebury, IN; 4 grandchildren, Charity (Jon) Magee of Elkhart, Kassandra Wagner, Hannah Wagner both of Middlebury, Kelsey Wagner of Middlebury; 1 great-grandson, Landon Magee and one great grandchild is on the way.  Also surviving is a sister, Betty Frost of Elkhart, and daughter in law Toni Wagner. Don was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Michael Wagner, and 2 sisters, Phyllis Wagner, and Frances Roberts.

     Don was a member of the Roofers Local #23 in South Bend and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going out to eat.  Don worked as a roofer for City Roofing in Elkhart for many years and retired in 2000.

     Funeral services for Don will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday January 7, 2022, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Pastor John Utley of Radiant Life Church and Chaplin for Elkhart County Police will be officiating. Burial will follow in Five Points Cemetery in Edwardsburg, MI.  Friends may visit with the family for 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

     Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
