Diana Lynn (Pratt) Straub passed away peacefully at the age of 76. She was born October 21, 1945, in Mishawaka to Gerald and Eunice Pratt. On August 2, 1963, Diana married the love of her life, Charles “Chick” Straub. They made Mishawaka their home for the 52 years they were together until his passing away in 2017.
She was more than a stay-at-home wife and mother. She took care of anyone and anything that needed tending to. Her wisdom from when to pop a blood blister to “draw a circle around it” will fondly be remembered.
Diana is survived by two sons, Charles (Karol) Straub, Jr., Todd (Debra) Straub: two daughters, Kimberly McCartney, and Brook Straub: thirteen grandchildren: 19 great-grandchildren and a sister, Karen Griggs. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters, 3 brothers and a great-granddaughter.
Per Diana’s wishes, there will be no service. Though we have lost a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Heaven is rejoicing as once again she is in the arms of her loving husband.
Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with care.
