Dennis E. Cramer

May 19, 1949-March 25, 2026

ELKHART-Dennis E. Cramer, 76, passed away March 25, 2026, at his home in Elkhart.  He was born May 19, 1949, in Elkhart to Mervin & Beverly (Dunbar) Cramer.

  On October 20, 1976 he married Cynthia Westlake; she preceded him in death.  He was also preceded in death by his parents, 3 sons, Brian Banghart, Michael Cramer, and Gary Cramer.

  Surviving is a daughter, Deni (Anthoney) Tweedy, 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 2 siblings, Thom (Debra) Cramer and Ann (Stephanie) Cramer.

  Dennis graduated from Concord High School in 1968, was a former owner of Westlake Hardware, and more recently worked for AI Manufacturing in Elkhart.  He had a true talent for working with anything with a motor including; being a former Chief Mechanic for Vitali Racing, rebuilding hot rods and classic cars, and just simply tinkering in his spare time.  Dennis enjoyed attending races especially NASCAR and playing guitar.  He will be remembered for being a great man to his core, with a giving spirit, and of course for always wearing his bib overalls. 

  Per his wishes cremation will take place and there will be a celebration of life gathering at a later date.
