DEAN R. LEHMAN

September 16, 1950 – July 20, 2021

 

 

 

EDWARDSBURG, MI- Dean R. Lehman, 70, of Edwardsburg, died Tuesday July 20, 2021 at Elkhart General Hospital.  He was born September 16, 1950, in Imlay City, Michigan to Russell and Cleo (Weldy) Lehman.

     On July 9, 1997, in Elkhart he married Darlene D. Eternicka.  She survives along with a daughter, Amy (Brian) Hardy and their 2 children Maicey and Cooper Hardy of Middlebury, IN; a son Bill Dickson of Milford, IN and his 2 children Ryley Sigler and Kayla Mersch and Kayla’s daughter Haddie Mersch.

Also surviving is a sister, Gloria (Jim) Reynolds of Elkhart; a brother, Bruce (Carol) Lehman of Sarasota, FL; 2 nephews and Deans furry buddy “Princess”.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents.

     Dean was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and a knife collector.  He went to Art College and was a freelance graphic artist and did oils and watercolors.

He worked for Mid States Construction for 19 years and was a concrete foreman and sales representative.

     Funeral services for Dean will be held at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday July 28, 2021, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  Pastor Mike Mead from Grace Apostolic Tabernacle Church in South Haven, Michigan will be presiding.  Friends may visit with the family for 2 hours prior to the service.  Cremation will follow.

     Memorial contributions may be given to the Second Chance Small Dog Rescue, PO Box 2403, Elkhart, IN 46515 or National Parkinson Foundation, 1501 NW9 Ave., Bob Hope Road, Miami, FL 33136-1494.
