David G. Trowbridge

May 5, 1947-December 16, 2024

TUCSON, AZ-David G. Trowbridge, 77, passed away December 16, 2024, in Tucson, AZ.  He was born May 5, 1947, in Detroit, MI to Richard & Marie (Lupear) Trowbridge.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Stephen Trowbridge, and a wife, Pamela Delmastro-Trowbridge, sister-in-law, Sueann (Glenn) Trowbridge.

  Surviving is a son, Geoffrey Trowbridge, a daughter-in-law, Heidi Trowbridge, 2 stepchildren, Christopher (Lisa) Reglein, Melissa (Derek) Reglein-Sobczyk, 4 grandchildren, Trevor (Lauren) Trowbridge, Kayla Trowbridge, Hannah Trowbridge, Alexandra Reglein, 2 brothers, Richard Trowbridge, and William (Debra) Trowbridge, also Nancy Famous, mother of his children.

   David graduated from Elkhart High School in 1965; while there he was on the football team that won the state championship.  He attended the University of Arizona, and the University of Alabama.  While there he took multiple studies and training in psychotherapy.  David was a proud US Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era.  He enlisted in 1966, took basic training at Fort Leonard Wood and was honorably discharged in 1969 at Redstone Arsenal.  He worked at Excel Industries from 1972-1976 as a national sales manager, Arizona Department of Corrections from 1994-2024 as a therapist, and CODAC Behavioral Health from 2001-2009 as a forensic cognitive therapist.  David was a certified forensic cognitive behavioral therapist, criminal justice specialist, LISAC, CCJS, CCBT, and a member of DAPA Certified Fellow American Psychotherapy Association, and of the Junior Achievement Association. 

  In his spare time, he enjoyed camping, hunting, shooting sports, scouting, and gardening.

   A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Rice Cemetery with Military Honors.
