DAVID GLEN HEDRICK

October 12, 1944 – August 28, 2024

Niles, Michigan- David Glen Hedrick, 79, of Niles, passed away Wednesday August 28, 2024, at his residence in Niles.  He was born October 12, 1944, in Ward, WV to Denver G. & Doris Esther (Woodurm) Hedrick.

     On August 31, 1968, in Elkhart, IN he married Sharon Ann Rink.  She preceded him in death on July 1, 2019, in Elkhart, IN.  Surviving are 2 children, Denver G. (Beth) Hedrick II, Tracy L. Durbin both of Niles, MI; 4 grandsons, Codie Ward, Tyler Ward, Bryce Hedrick, Leo Hedrick; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Rebecca (Henry) Hartman of Geneva, NY, June Alderman of Chesapeake, WV and numerous nieces and nephews.  Also surviving is his furry friend Patches.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sharon, and 2 siblings, Charles Ray Hedrick and Wilda Sayler.

     Glen was a truck driver for 51 years, having worked 15 years as a union driver, drove coal trucks in West Virginia and was a self-employed driver for many years.  Glen was a member of the Teamsters Local #364, enjoyed riding his 3-wheel motorcycle with his furry friend Patches, doing crossword puzzles and sitting in his rocking chair on his front porch.

     Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday September 4, 2024, and from 10-11 a.m. September 5, 2024, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  Funeral services will start at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Pastor Gary Sheets from the Middlebury Community Church of the Nazarene will render the service and burial will follow at Brown Cemetery in Millersburg.
