CHERYL DARLENE MILLER

December 21, 1953 – August 10, 2023

BRISTOL, IN- Cheryl Darlene Miller, 69, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday August 10, 2023, after having endured a courageous battle with cancer.  She was born December 21, 1953, in Elkhart, Indiana to Omar & Emma (Brown) Wilson.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Julie K. (Mike) Knepper of Bristol, IN, Sarah K. (Brian) O’Connor of Elkhart, IN; 7 grandchildren, Sadie & Olivia Knepper, Kallen & Jillian O’Connor, Kady, Derek & Tabitha Miller.  Additional survivors include 4 siblings, Daniel “Danny” Wilson of Elkhart, IN, Robert “Bob’ (Kathy) Wilson of Asheville, NC, Omar “Willie” (Cindy) Wilson, Jr., of Lady Lake, FL, Joyce (Brian) Green of Wilmington, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents Omar & Emma Wilson.

Cheryl graduated from Elkhart High School in 1972.  She treasured attending First Baptist Church Elkhart for worship and hearing the Word, driving in the country, visiting Shipshewana, and playing cards with her family.  She was an avid Notre Dame Football fan and loved watching March Madness on TV.  She especially loved to spend quality time with her grandchildren.

Cremation will take place and celebration of life gathering will be held from 5:30 p.m. till 7:30 p.m. on Thursday August 17, 2023, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Sean Fox from the Ribbon of Hope will render a short prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Ribbon of Hope.
