Cherie D. Scott-Whorwell August 7, 1948-April 10, 2019 ELKHART-Cherie D. Scott-Whorwell, 70, passed away April 10, 2019 at her home in Elkhart. She was born August 7, 1948 in Benton Harbor, MI to Henry Blevins & Geraldine (Geer) Pruiett. She married Walter Scott; he preceded her in death, later she married Robert Whorwell and he preceded her in death as well. She was also preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Larry Blevins, Diana DeWitt and a nephew, Darrin DeWitt. Surviving is 1 son, Shawn Scott, 4 grandchildren, Josh Scott, Jeremy Scott, Adam Scott, Halie Pelayo, 1 great-grandson, Logan, and 1 brother, Terry (Marcia) Blevins. Also surviving are 2 nephews, J.R. DeWitt, Zach Blevins, and a niece, Rhonda Lugo. Cherie worked at Cummins Generators for over 41 years, owned Cherie's Bar and Grill and was most recently employed at Northside Service Center. A celebration of life service will be held at 12:00 Noon Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the services. Presiding will be Pastor Keith McFarren From Bethel United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers please send memorial contributions to Riley's Children's Hospital.
