CHARLOTTE J. SCHROEDER

AUGUST 24, 1936 – OCTOBER 12, 2022

Elkhart- Charlotte J. Schroeder, 86 of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Brookdale Granger Assisted Living center in Granger, IN. She was born on August 24, 1936 in Elkhart to the late Albert and Dorothy (Nellist) Bowers. On February 9, 1957 she married the late Wayne C. Schroder in Elkhart. He preceded her in death on February 21, 1993.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Cindy (John) Ray of Granger, Janet (Conrad) Hochstetler of Elkhart and Mary (Jeffrey) Hoerig of Troy, MI; 2 sisters, Carol Salyer of Warsaw, IN and Martha Bowers of Elkhart; 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Ronald Bowers.

She was employed for 25+ years at Selmers in the silver soldering department prior to her retirement.

She was a member of Beulah Missionary Church.

Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the 12:00 noon funeral service on Monday, October17, 2022 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, 700 E. Jackson Blvd, Elkhart, IN 46516. Pastor Kelley Sewell will officiate. Burial will follow at Solomon Cemetery in Goshen, IN.
