EDWARDSBURG-Charles L. Coble, 85, passed away October 24, 2023, at the Raclin House -The Center for Hospice Care.  He was born January 7, 1938, in Huntington, IN to George & Bernice (Bowers) Coble.

  On December 31, 1963 in Portsmouth, Ohio he married Delma M. Maxie; she preceded him in death.  He was also preceded in death by his parents, 2 siblings, Charlene Deresch and Monet Beaty.

  Surviving are 3 sons, Gregg (Debbie) Coble, Nelson (Cindy) Coble, Anthony (Debie) Coble, 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are 2 siblings, Joseph (Carol) Coble and Monty (Helen) Coble. 

  Charles was a U.S. Navy Veteran, an Engineer for the railroad (most recently Conrail) for over 30 years, member of the Masonic Lodge and the Moose Lodge.  He was a man of God that put God and family first.  He enjoyed fishing, reading, carpentry, and truly brought laughter and joy into the world.  He will be deeply missed. 

  Cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Granger Missionary Church, 50841 Birch Road Granger, IN 46530.  Pastor Jason Dickenson will preside.

  Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
