Celia G (Rodriguez) Martin

Celia G. Martin, 60, of Elkhart, died Tuesday August 23, 2022, at her residence in Elkhart surrounded by her loving family.  She was born October 26, 1961, in Abernathy, Texas to Gustavo & Lucia (Garcia) Rodriguez.

     On September 25, 1984, in Chicago, Illinois she married Miguel A. Martin.  He survives along with 4 children, Adrian (Nicole) Martin, Evelin Martin, Celina Martin, Christopher Martin; 11 grandchildren, Armando, Mariah, Chandler, Jacquez, Lareyna, Isaac, Carter, Chase, Mathieu, Diego, and Alondra.  Also surviving is her furry friend, “Cody”, 4 sisters, 1 brother and a host of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister.

     Celia was a loving housewife, mother, and grandmother.  She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, she enjoyed cooking, cleaning, gardening, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

     Visitation for family and friends will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday September 1, 2022, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday September 2, 2022, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.  Fr. Benjamin Landrigan will preside, and burial will follow in Frame Cemetery.  Friends may also visit with the family from 10-11 a.m. Friday in the Vincent Hall at the Church.
