CASSANDRA SUE PHELPS

September 13, 1995 – April 2, 2022

ELKHART- Cassandra Sue Phelps, 26, of Elkhart, earned her angel wings on Saturday April 2, 2022. She was born September 13, 1995, in South Bend, Indiana to Kimberly Sue Phelps.

Surviving is her mother and stepfather, Kimberly (Gilbert) Jones; her sister, Christina Jones; maternal grandparents, David & Janice Troyer; her uncles, Michael Phelps, and James May; her aunts Julia Troyer; Tracey (Kent) McCurley, her great aunts, Charlene Smith and Saundra Wallin, and her great uncle Chester Smith. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Donald Phelps and Gilbert & Mary Jones, Sr.

Cassandra was a special needs child and graduated from Memorial High School in 2017. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and all who knew her.

Funeral services for Cassandra will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday April 7, 2022 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Pastor K. Scott Bowie from St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in South Bend will preside, and cremation will follow. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be given to Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis. Envelopes for donations will be available at the funeral home.
