Carol M. Noffsinger, 87, of Elkhart, died Wednesday August 10, 2022 at Elkhart General Hospital.  Carol was born October 27, 1935, in Mishawaka, Indiana to Max E. & Charlotte J. (Rippey) Stitt.

   On October 6, 1956, in Elkhart she married Donald L. Noffsinger.  He preceded her in death on November 15, 2003, in Elkhart.  Also preceded her in death were her parents, 2 sons, Scott E., and Kevin W. Noffsinger, her son-in-law Chris McKenna and her brother William C. Stitt.  She is survived by 2 sons, Michael A. (Doreen) Noffsinger of Walkerton, IN, Steven M. (Jennifer L.) Noffsinger of Elkhart, IN, her daughter, Karen (Richard) Hackel of Goshen, IN; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

     Carol was a member of the New Salem United Methodist Church, member of the ladies auxiliary of the Elkhart DAV, Mishawaka VFW and the Osceola American Legion.  She enjoyed going to outdoor band concerts with her friends, feeding the squirrels at her apartment, traveling, and bowling.  Carol was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan and Notre Dame Women’s Basketball fan.

     Visitation for friend and family will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday August 16, 2022, and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday August 17, 2022, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  Funeral services for Carol will start at 11:00 a.m.

 Wednesday at the funeral home.  Pastor Jim Tormey from Roanoke, Indiana will render the service.  Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.

     Memorial contributions may be given to the Center for Hospice Care or to New Salem United Methodist Church.
