BRYON C. STAMETS
October 24, 1962 – April 8, 2021
MISHAWAKA- Bryon Charles Stamets, 58, of Mishawaka passed away on Thursday April 8, 2021 after a long courageous battle with chronic health conditions.
Bryon was born on October 24, 1962 in Elkhart, Indiana to Robert and Patricia (Morse) Stamets. He is survived by his spouse Heather Stamets and their three sons, Michael, Justin, and Cory. He is also survived by his sister, Robin (Tom) Morningstar and his brother Kevin (Chris) Stamets and his mother Patricia Stamets. Additional survivors include 5 nieces, 4 nephews and 3 aunts. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Stamets.
Bryon graduated from Elkhart Memorial High School and then pursued his talent and creativity at the Cleveland Institute of Art. Bryon returned to South Bend where he used and was well known for his talent in construction and architectural design. He used these skills to fulfill his dream of building a house for his family. Bryon was an intelligent man and was able to do whatever he set in his mind to do.
While in Cleveland, Bryon had life changing experiences with the Lord and found the true passion of his heart. He loved to share the profound experiences in Cleveland as testimonies of how God moved in his life. Bryon was well known for his powerful voice, understanding and revelation of the word of God and his love for prayer. Most of all, he loved to share these gifts with others, praying with others and watching God move in their lives. He was strong and never afraid to move out in faith to do whatever the Lord led him to do.
Funeral services for Bryon will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the Christian Life Center, 1717 N. Hickory Road, South Bend, IN 46635. Friends may visit with family from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30a.m. Pastor Bob Deering will be the officiating pastor and Pastors Doug and Shanna Neil will be the host pastors. All proper Covid 19 guidelines have been followed and will also continue to be followed throughout the funeral services. Cremation will follow the service.
Elkhart Cremation Services and Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home are entrusted with his care.
