Bradley D. “Brad” Myers, Jr.

December 29, 1946 – June 28, 2023

FORT MYERS BEACH, FL – Bradley D. “Brad” Myers, Jr., 76, of Fort Myers Beach, FL and formerly of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away Wednesday June 28, 2023, at his residence in Ft. Myers Beach, FL.

     He was born December 29, 1946, in Elkhart, Indiana to Bradley D. & Susan (Welsch) Myers, Sr.  On February 6, 1969, he married Pamela Jo VanderReyden.  She survives along with one son, Tony Myers of Dowagiac, Michigan; and one granddaughter, Taylor Myers also of Dowagiac, Michigan.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Bradley Sr., and Susan Myers, 3 sisters, Pat, Nancy, and Carol, and numerous nieces and nephews.

     Brad worked as a grocer for 52 years starting as a bag boy in 1964 and worked his way up to owning numerous Wilts Food Centers/Myers Super Valu stores and retired in 2017.  His hobbies included boat racing, car shows, hot rods, drag racing and motorcycles.

     Cremation has taken place in Fort Myers Beach, Florida.  Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home is entrusted with his care.

     A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday August 5, 2023

from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.

Pastor Bob Vale from the First United Methodist Church in Middlebury will render the service at the funeral home.

     The family has requested that if you have a classic car or a hot rod, please drive it to the funeral home for the service in memory of Brad.  Thank you very much. 

     Floral arrangements may be sent to the funeral home in memory of Brad or donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
