Bonnie Ellsworth August 2, 1933 – May 27, 2020 Bonnie passed peacefully at the Center for Hospice Care in Elkhart, Indiana on Wednesday May 27, 2020 after a brief illness. She was born on August 2, 1933 to Ruby and Kenneth Kirchner, of Elkhart Indiana. Bonnie was the fifth of 6 children. Bonnie’s parents, her sisters Geraldine Van Galen, Edith Ross, Shirley Roth, Beverly Sullivan and her brother Kenneth Kirchner Jr. and one great grandson, Samuel Butler, all preceded her in death. Bonnie is survived by her husband Harold (Skeet) Ellsworth of Elkhart, one daughter Brenda Lee (Samuel) Butler of Dowagiac, MI., 2 grandsons, Steven Allen (Bonita) Butler of Garland, NE and Samuel James Butler of Dowagiac, MI; 2 great grandsons Stephen Michael Butler and Seth Andrew Butler, both of Garland, NE, one great granddaughter Jaime Michelle Butler and 2 great great granddaughters of Paw Paw, MI. Bonnie graduated from Elkhart High school in 1951 and was married to Harold (Skeet) Ellsworth in Elkhart on December 4, 1951. They made a life in Elkhart, In. Bonnie was a dedicated partner, working full-time to meet common goals with her husband. She retired from Taylor products in Elkhart, In. Bonnie was a lifetime member of the DAV, post 19 in Elkhart and a lifetime member of the Osceola American Legion #308. Bonnie was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her children and grandchildren with a love few have never known. She had a love for animals, caring for her many flower gardens, nature, camping and garage sales, flea markets or anywhere a bargain was to be had. A private family visitation and funeral for Bonnie will be held Saturday May 30, 2020 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Pastor Martinez Stephens from the Church of Cassopolis will preside and burial will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery.
