ELKHART-Beverly “Bev” M. Shanholt, went to the Rainbow Bridge on November 24, 2023to be with her chows, Ming, Misha, Li’l Bit, Teddy and her cat , Chaka. She was born in Elkhart on March 17, 1939, to Oca & Mary (Caton) Shanholt.
Bev worked at Foret Plastics for 61/2 years and Miles/Bayer for 36 years. She was a member of Women of the Moose and the DAV Auxiliary. She enjoyed movies/videos, knitting and crocheting, all crafts and especially loved all animals. She will be missed by her cats, Bonnie and Chloe.
Bev is survived by her nieces, Sally (Mart) Dye, nephews, Daniel (Dee) Atkinson, Tom (Fawne) Atkinson, and many great, great kins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Violet Atkinson, and brother, Jim Shanholt.
Per her wishes she will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens with no formal services.
Memorial Contributions may be given to the Elkhart County Humane Society.
Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
