Betty Jean Troyer Obituary

- Betty Jean Troyer, 87, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday September 24, 2022, at Elkhart General Hospital.  She was born August 21, 1935, in Aurora, Indiana to Carl & Blanche (Davis) Raisor.


     On March 22, 1954, she married Laddie G. Troyer.  He preceded her in death in 1998.  Surviving are 2 sons, Michael (Debra)Troyer of Elkhart, IN, Randall Troyer of Goshen, IN, four granddaughters and 11 great-grandchildren.


     Betty worked for 22 years in Human Resources at Sears-Roebuck at the Pierre Moran Mall in Elkhart.  Betty enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting and traveling.


But most of all she loved going to the Four Winds Casino.


     Per her wishes, cremation has been chosen and Betty will be laid to rest with her husband Laddie.   


   Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday November 4, 2022 at Rice Cemetery.  A procession will form at 12:45 p.m. on Friday at the cemetery office and will process to the gravesite.


     Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home is entrusted with her care.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Elkhart County Humane Society.  Envelopes are available for donations at the funeral home.
