Betty J. Rumell

BETTY J. RUMELL October 3, 1932 - September 25, 2018 ELKHART- Betty J. Rumell, 85, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday September 25, 2018 at Greenleaf Health Campus. She was born October 3, 1932 in Elkhart to Ward & Gertrude (Leonard) Zimmerman. On December 9, 1950 in Elkhart she married Harold Rumell. He preceded her in death on May 10, 1991 in Elkhart. Surviving are two nephews, Bill (Ann) Zimmerman of Bristol, IN and Dan (Patti) Zimmerman of Murrieta, CA. Also surviving are numerous cousins and a sister-in-law, Eleanor Rumell Cole of Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter Margo Rumell and a brother, Robert W. Zimmerman, and a nephew Tom Zimmerman. Betty retired as a supervisor from CTS Corporation after over 40 years of service. She was a member of the Quarter Century Club at CTS. Betty enjoyed needlecraft, reading, word search and doing dot-to-dot. Funeral services for Betty will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday October 4, 2018 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Pastor Tom DeFries from St. Paul's United Methodist Church will preside and cremation will follow. Friends may visit with the family for 2 hours prior to the service.
