BETTY M. BRENNEMAN

April 17, 1919 – November 20, 2020

 

 

ELKHART- Betty M. Brenneman, 101, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 20, 2020. Betty was born April 17, 1919 in Goshen, Indiana to Bert and Ruby (Long) Landaw.  On September 7, 1947, she married Paul M. Breneman at the Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church in Goshen.  He died January 6, 2009.

     Survivors include 2 sons, Jerald (Karleen) Brenneman of Elkhart, James (Robin) Brenneman of Cassopolis, Michigan; 7 grandchildren, Kara (Brandon) Rogers of Granger, IN, Brian (Randi) Brenneman of Elkhart, Megan (Robert) Pfeiffer of Granger, Mike (Taryn) Brenneman of Elkhart, Lucas (Katrina) Brenneman of Coloma, Michigan and Anna and Sarah Brenneman of Cassopolis, Michigan.  There are 21 Great Grandchildren, Kinley, Kori, Edelin, Rylee, Andrew, Isabella, Zoe, Wesley, Cruz, Jett, Gideon, Ariella, Elora, Adaya, Eden, Judah, Azaria, Issac, Isaiah, Noah, and Gracie.

     The youngest  great granddaughter, Edelin Brenneman was born on Betty’s 100th birthday.

     Betty graduated from Goshen High School in 1937 and was a graduate of Goshen College.  Betty was a schoolteacher for many years in Fort Wayne, Elkhart and Battle Creek, Michigan.  Betty spent many years playing the piano in the churches that Paul was the minister.  Betty was a faithful and loving servant to the lord.

     Betty’s pride and joy were her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family will hold a private service and burial will be in Prairie Street Cemetery.  Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home is entrusted with her care.

     Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
