ELKHART- Bardget Sue Nelson, 72, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday December 8, 2022, at Elkhart General Hospital following a brief illness.  She was born May 28, 1950, in Bremen, Indiana to Sheldon & Mary (Kipfer) Hall.

     Surviving is her son, Justin N. Nelson of Elkhart; her brother, Courtney L. (Nancy) Hall of Elkhart; 2 nephews, Cameron L. (Sara) Hall of Elkhart, Collin E. (Ashlyn) Hall of Constantine, MI and her former husband, Kenneth A. Nelson of Elkhart.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

     Bardget was employed as a cashier at Walmart, and she enjoyed traveling and reading.  Visitation for family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday December 14, 2022, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and burial will follow in Rice Cemetery.

     Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association or the Elkhart County Humane Society.
