Barbara Kwast Obituary

Barbara A. Kwast, 87, passed away December 22, 2021, at her home in Cassopolis, MI surrounded by her family singing hymns.  She was born January 19, 1934, in South Bend, IN to Roland & Dorothy (Keil) Wardlow. 

  On March 8, 1958, she married Edward L. Kwast; he preceded her in death on July 10, 2019.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, Scott Kwast, 1 great-grandson, Joseph Kwast, 1 great-granddaughter, Adley Elizabeth Wold and a daughter-in-law, Cindy Kwast. 

   Surviving are 3 children, Kerry (Miriam) Kwast, David Kwast, Peggy (Evan) Gay, 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren 2 brothers, Roland Wardlow and William Wardlow.  Also, there are 2 more great-grandchildren on their way, one due in March and one due in June.

  If you couldn’t reach her by phone, you could find her in the woods, chopping wood, doing yardwork, or woodworking.  She also enjoyed cooking, baking, singing hymns and spending time with her family. 

  Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the 7 p.m. funeral service Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.

  A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Adamsville Cemetery.

  In lieu of flowers please send memorial contributions to Ethnos360, 312 West First St. Sanford, FL 32771 to help Dave and Bethanna Kwast on their missionary journey. If mailing a check please include a separate paper listing Dave and Bethanna Kwast names.
